Early George III Single Tea Caddy
A good example of an early George III single tea caddy. Mahogany with inlaid paterea of boxwood and harewood. Topped by a Sheffield silver plated handle.
The lid is a replacement and would originally have sat on the surface of the tea rather than resting on four quadrants.
English, possibly late 18th century.
